Nice has won their second match in a row with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Nantes at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Sunday afternoon. The match was full of drama and excitement as both teams put up a strong fight to secure all three points.
The first half saw Nice control the game with their fast-paced and attacking style of play, but it was Nantes who took the lead through a well-taken goal from the spot by forward Anthony Lopes in the 46th minute. This goal gave the home side a much-needed boost and they continued to dominate the game in the second half.
However, Nice were not about to give up and they made a strong comeback in the 85th minute when midfielder Yann M'Vila scored his first goal for the club, equalizing the scoreline. Then in the 91st minute, Yacine Brahimi put Nice ahead with a stunning strike from outside the box that left the goalkeeper no chance.
With just seconds remaining, Nantes pulled one back through a penalty kick from substitute Kévin Gameiro, but it was too little too late for the visitors. Nice's win is a big morale booster for the team and will give them confidence heading into their next fixture against FC Metz on Wednesday night.
