In a thrilling match against Athletic Bilbao, Celta Vigo failed to make the most of their chances and fell to defeat once again.
The match was a closely contested affair with both teams putting up some impressive performances throughout. However, it was Celta Vigo who made the most of their chances as they managed to score two goals in the first half alone.
However, Athletic Bilbao did not let up as they responded well to score twice within the second half. The visitors had already taken the lead through a header from Yannick Bolasie, but Celta Vigo fought back to equalise through a stunning free-kick by Carlos Martínez.
Despite this, Celta Vigo were unable to capitalize on their chances and were eventually beaten by Athletic Bilbao 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
This result leaves Celta Vigo disappointed as they look to improve their form going into their next game against Real Sociedad. However, the team will have plenty of opportunities to do so given their current struggles.
