Borussia Dortmund secured their place in the Europa League quarter-finals after overcoming TSG Hoffenheim in a thrilling match at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday evening.
The match saw both teams put up a good fight, but it was Borussia Dortmund who emerged victorious thanks to two goals from Julian Brandt and one from Erling Haaland.
Brandt's goal came early in the second half, as he collected a pass from Jadon Sancho and slotted home a well-placed shot into the bottom corner of the net. It was a stunning strike that left Hoffenheim goalkeeper Robin Gruener helpless.
Haaland's goal came just a few minutes later, as he capitalized on some poor defending by Hoffenheim to score his 24th goal of the season. The Norwegian striker has been in incredible form this season, and he showed why with his clinical finish.
Overall, it was a great performance from Borussia Dortmund, who showed their attacking prowess against Hoffenheim. They will now face either AC Milan or Inter Milan in the next round of the Europa League.
