St Johnstone Officially Signs Former Scottish Premiership Golden Boot Winner to Bolster Attacking Power

St Johnstone have made a significant signing in the transfer market, as they have announced the official signing of former Scottish Premier League (SPL) golden boot winner, David Accam.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian international is set to join the Perth-based club on a free transfer after leaving his previous club, Arsenal, at the end of last season.

Accam has been one of the most prolific goal scorers in Scottish football over the past few seasons and will be expected to add even more firepower to St Johnstone's attacking line-up.

He scored 17 goals for Arsenal during the 2018-19 campaign, making him the club's top scorer that year, and he was also named the SPL's golden boot winner in 2016-17 when he netted 15 goals in 44 appearances for Kilmarnock.

Accam joins St Johnstone as the club looks to build upon their recent success in the Scottish Cup, which they won for the first time in 26 years in May this year.

The addition of Accam is likely to give the club a much-needed boost in terms of both attacking depth and quality, with the club looking to push for promotion back into the top flight next season.

It remains to be seen how well Accam adapts to life in Scotland and whether or not he can replicate his impressive form from last season, but it seems clear that the former Arsenal player will bring a lot of experience and quality to the St Johnstone squad.
